How many periods can ABC fill with Shark Tank repeats? Following the network’s move on Friday to pull low-rated limited series The Assets and replace it with reruns of the hit reality series, it has another strong candidate in Killer Women. Following its underwhelming debut with a 0.9 18-49 rating last week, the procedural drama dropped 22% to an instant-cancellation 0.7 rating that spelled the demise of the series’ predecessor in the Tuesday 10 PM slot, Lucky 7. Things were more encouraging for ABC early on, with Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2.2) and The Goldbergs (1.8) both posting second consecutive 0.1 bumps. Trophy Wife (1.1) was flat.
CBS’ lineup kept steady. NCIS (3.0) was even with last week, NCIS: LA (2.4) matched its last original (as well as the preview of new drama Intelligence in the slot last Tuesday), and Person Of Interest (2.0) too was flat with last week. CBS won the night in 18-49 (2.5) and total viewers (15.9 million).
Except for New Girl (1.6), which was flat, Fox’s comedies were down week to week: Dads (1.2, down 20%), Golden Globe winner Brooklyn Nine-Nine (1.4, down a tenth) and The Mindy Project (1.2, down a tenth). NBC’s The Biggest Loser (1.7) was flat, and Chicago Fire (1.8) was down a tenth to a season low. The CW’s Tuesday dramas The Originals (0.9) and Supernatural (1.0) returned from a monthlong hiatus down a tenth each.
