Vice Media and FremantleMedia are teaming to create a create a multi-channel food platform aimed at a millennial audience. The companies will develop and produce digital content for the yet-unnamed Vice Vice logofood vertical, which FremantleMedia will take to TV around the world. The venture will offer original video content, editorial features, articles, how-tos, recipes and events, providing a perspective on the intersection where humans and food connect. Recurring franchises will focus on subjects ranging from the politics of food to world travel and cuisine to an irreverent look at home cooking. Content will be available on multiple platforms, including Vice.com, Noisey and Motherboard.

‘Rectify’, ‘Mr Selfridge’ Headed To France And Germany
Rectifymr-selfridge__130611043149ITV Studios Global Entertainment has closed deals for the dramas Rectify and Mr Selfridge in France and Germany. Rectify, the first original series from Sundance TV, has been acquired by Arte in France and Germany. The second season of the series will premiere on the Sundance Channel in the U.S. in the summer. The pay TV rights to ITV Studios’ Mr Selfridge have been acquired by Sony Entertainment Television, which will air both series starting April in the German TV premiere. Mr Selfridge, whose second season recently premiered on ITV, has been sold to more than 150 countries globally.

Paramount Channel Set For Russia, Hungary
Viacom International Media Networks has struck deals to launch Paramount Channel this month in Russia Paramount Channeland Hungary. Rostelecom, which operates the Russia’s largest cable TV network, has made a local-language version of the 24-hour TV film network available to its Interactive TV subscribers starting Tuesday. Paramount Channel HD also is available. In Hungary, a distribution agreement has been signed with affiliate partners Tarr Kft., PR Telekom, Invitel and Magyar Telekom to launch a different, localized feed of the channel, which launched February 14. The channel, which offers films from the Paramount Pictures library, launched in Spain in 2012 and in France last year.
