The CW’s broadcast of the Critics Choice TV Awards last night clocked a 0.3/1 demo rating. Fox was the night’s highest-rated broadcast network in the demo (1.3/5), thanks in large measure to Hell’s Kitchen (1.8/7, 4.93 million viewers) which posted its best demo results in nearly three months and ranked as the night’s No. 1 show in the age bracket — tied with CBS’ The Big Bang Theory rerun (1.8/7). Big Bang Theory‘s overall audience, however, swamped Hell’s Kitchen’s, with 7.54 million viewers, and CBS took the night in total viewers (5.190 million) with its lineup of comedy repeats and Elementary.
On its first telecast in three weeks and moving into its new 8-9 PM time period, ABC’s Black Box returned up in total viewers (4.0 million vs. 3.8 million) and paced within 1/10th in adults 18-49 (0.7/3 vs. 0.8/2). ABC’s Rookie Blue returned at 9 PM with demo ratings down 17% from last summer’s premiere, but held steady in the demo compared to its September season wrapper. Rookie Blue beat its drama competitor in the hour, Fox’s Gang Related, in the demo (1.0/3 vs. 0.9/3) and total viewers (5.7 million vs. 2.6 million) The ABC drama also tied for No. 1 in its time period among Adults 25-54 (1.4/3).
NBC’s Undateable was even with last week, — so far all eight episodes of Undateable that have aired have out-rated every episode of all three of last summer’s original comedies in the Big 4 braodcast networks (NBC’s Save Me, and Fox’s Anger Management and The Goodwin Games). Last Comic Standing at 10 PM hopped 17% week-to-week, and ranked No. 1 in its timeperiod in key demos among ABC, CBS and NBC (including a tie with ABC’s Rookie Blue among women 25-54.)
