Ridley Scott And Giannina Facio Option ‘The Devil In The Kitchen’ About Tortured ChefRidley Scott, Giannina Facio and Colet Abedi have optioned The Devil In The Kitchen: Sex, Pain, Madness And The Making Of A Great Chef. They intend to make a film about Marco Pierre White, who wrote the memoir of his extraordinary life. White had a tumultuous childhood upbringing before becoming a rock star chef in 1980s London. Surrounded by music, fashion and food during London’s cultural evolution, White trained Gordon Ramsay and Mario Batali and was a pioneer of the celebrity chef movement. He was the first and youngest chef to win three Michelin stars and was also the only one to ever give them all back. He was the original chain-smoking, pot-throwing enfant terrible of the kitchen.

Scott, who is in post production on his Fox Biblical epic Exodus: Gods And Kings, recently teamed with Facio to set at Sony the GQ article Game Brain at Sony. It came together with Peter Landesman writing the script and directing, with Will Smith to play Dr. Bennet Omalu, the forensic neuropathologist who was a total outsider and made the first discovery of CTE, the concussion syndrome that has been fatal in contributing to the suicides of such former NFL superstars as Dave Duerson and Junior Seau.
