Peggy save the whole preaching thing. How can you complain about somethin like that on a article talking about the terminator series of all things? have u even seen the movies? Terminator 2 has arguably one of the most bad-assed heroes in film and its a woman

John Connor, it's easy to dismiss others as studio plants who don't agree with your 'Debbie Downer' attitude towards this movie, but if you know so much about all the problems that are going on with production and how it's supposed to be done, then why don't YOU go into filmmaking and show us how to do it right. I've only seen the teaser and it looked fantastic.

scififanatic -- good to see that there are plants even on deadlinehollywood. the production has not shut down, but there have been massive script changes/production work since filming began -- hardly a good sign for a movie of this size.

In talking to a few people that attended that panel in San Diego, McG answered a lot of questions and there was excitement in the direction this movie is going. Yes, they are still filming but there have been no problems or delays as alluded to by another posted comment. Sounds like a lot of heavy hitters working on this project and that they want to get it right and are taking their time (two to three times the amount of time that most Hollywood movies are cranked out). Christian Bale is excited about it and everyone casted believes it will blow everyone's mind. I for one can't wait for the END, to BEGIN but before that happens I would love to see what my friends at Comic-Con were shown because they said it erased all doubt that this movie is going to be HUGE!! Hope someone leaks some clips or stills soon.

Terminator is not based on a comic... In any case, there have been some strong female characters in comic movies, for instance in the X-Men. Far too few admittedly. There have been attempts at female, but largely the writing was horrible in those films and subsequently failed to perform well at the box office (Elektra springs to mind). I think the studios are wary of introducing any more female leads in comic books films for a few reasons, fans of these kinds of things are often younger men or boys, as well as the past performance of such films.

Just look at the beleaguered Wonder Woman film that has seen numerous difficulties.

"...Whatever, dude. Just don't screw up the robots."

This is what rules Hollywood now? It sucks to be me. As much as I love the writing and acting in Dark Knight, WHY does it have to be in a comic book movie? Ever since Bruce the mechanical shark in Jaws, movies have been going in the crapper.

I've YET to see one of these comic things that has a strong female who was more than an appendage to the boys. These comics are just more of the same, teenage boy fantasy land. In some ways, I'm sorry DK is doing so well. This assures we'll get more of the same. They should just do away with all the female characters like they know they want to.

Hard to imagine people living past their late 30s in a post-apocalyptic future.
