Hollywood rag US Weekly did a butt-kissing interview with Obama.

Meanwhile, US Weekly did a feature belittling Clinton for her fashion sense.

The double standard in this campaign is sickening. Ok to be sexist, but walk on eggshells with Obama so no one can be construed as racist.

As for lampooning fashion and picking on Clinton’s appearance, this is the same tired bag of tricks pulled on powerful women over and over. It is anachronistic. Clinton will not be knocked down by such nonsense and we hope other women take her cue.

Don’t buy US Weekly, Rolling Stone, etc.

C’mon, Sandy, that’s a pretty stupid statement. It’s one thing to disagree with people who are for Obama, it’s another thing to write them all off as “fanatics” and “morons” who read Us Weekly. It’s also ignoring the facts; polling would indicate that the voters for Obama tend to be more educated. So even though I believe it’s ignorant to generalize and label anyone just because they think differently than you do, “elitist” would be at least more accurate.

Besides, every candidate tries to connect with the average joe through a variety of methods.

If we’re going to say that the only performers who can portray him have to have the same composition as he has, then I guess SNL is going to have to drag Maya Rudolph away from her baby and back to the show.

The articles I’ve read on HuffPost and other places quoting feminists on Hillary’s fate being related to her gender would have been articles quoting black leaders on how it’s still harder to be a black man in this country than a white woman, had Clinton swept the last 11 primaries. When we’re down to an African-American and a woman, and one has to come in second, there is bound to be righteous indignation from the aggrieved allies of the losing side. MSM relies on it to sell copy and clicks and get eyeballs, and their news reporting needs to be taken with a mine of salt.

IOW, don’t let them sucker you into a “Let’s you two fight while I sit back and watch”.

Obama will make a great president, and Clinton’s influence in the senate will grow significantly, especially with a Democrat in the White House. And were Clinton to the be nominee, I’d have said it the other way around. It’s a win-win, at least as long as Democrats decide they’re not going to try and snag defeat from the jaws of victory.
