Anyone who's seen Justin Timberlake on SNL knows he's hilarious even if those movies he's done tanked big-time like Alpha Dog, Black Snake Moan, and The Love Guru. WME has signed him just for acting. Meanwhile, the new agency just lost Oscar-winning director-writer Alexander Payne to CAA. Payne was a client of ex-William Morris motion picture lit veteran agent David Lonner, who didn't join WME and is still considering his next move.

No major loss for WME. Payne already got his Oscar, and despite his high-priced rewrites on shitty movies like BABY MAMA, he’s not bringing in any major cash.

Justin Timberlake is a one-min man. Meaning he is funny for a min only, which is why he is only good in SNL skits. Stretching it longer will only bring out the pains..as we have seen in the many movies that flops with him in it.
Just like Madonna, Mariah, Jamie Foxx and all those pop singers, they shd just stick to making pop music and let the real actors act.
Seriously..watching a one min joke stretch for 90 mins on the big screen is even more painful than having a papercut.
Justin acts for 6 years.

Timberlake is one of those media constructions. Not funny or likable or musically talented, though he seems to think he is all that and a bag of chips. Interesting you wouldn’t print that, but you’ll rip apart Kidman. Let’s see if you print it this time. Keep it honest.
Timberlake was awesome in Alpha Dog – can’t wait to see what WME does with his undeniable talent. Go Endeavor – woops, I meant WME, go!

Justin T. just might grow into his own as an actor. He’s shown early promise in comedy and has a reality few music superstars ever show on film (Beyonce & Madonna anyone?). As for Payne, he’s a good ‘quality’ get and makes actors happy when they are in his films (aka half of CAA’s list).

Well as long as Michael Cooper didnt get Timberlake. Cooper would mess it up since he’s such a dumbass. Cooper should be fired. Maybe then he would treat people better. I have never seen a person act as high and mighty more than Cooper except maybe Fogelman. Timberlake is at a sinking ship. He should have went somewhere else where they will take care of him and not worry about internal ego. Bad move…

I remember when actors were actual actors not vapid, pretty boy, underwear models who’s “acting” amounts to giving looks and speaking as little as possible. Alpha Dog was a melodramatic, lifetime movie, but less entertaining and with worse acting. Timberlake spent the entire film looking like he couldn’t decide is he should break into song or throw up. All that said kudos on another good-looking, thin, androgynous, doughy-eyed, “actor” to add to the roster. We just don’t seem to have enough of those in hollywood right now.
Timberlake will most likely end up in the big screen treatment of SNL’s MACGRUBER — which has IT’S PAT, NIGHT AT THE ROXBURY and THE LADIES MAN stamped all over it…

If he was smart, JT would do a year on SNL now that he lives in NY. None of his film work has been good, he just is not a good actor. But for some reason he works on the short sketches well…
