Only Oliver Hudson could make David Spade seem like a good actor.
Looks like another predictable schedule. Are they any updates on where The Tower or Back To You could end up on the schedule mid-season?
What happened to Mike Birbiglia’s show? That guy is funny as hell and completely charming and lovable (more so than frat guy Jay Mohr.)
What are they thinking?
The only thing missing for me is Back To You . Seems like that would be a good fit with The New Adventures of Old Christine also.
If I were a CBS executive I would use my highest rated show to build a new night. I’d move Two and A Half Men to Wed and build the night from there. Old Christine has done well with that lead in, but it might not be so strong on its own.
And seven is an odd number for comedy pick-ups. I’d make it an even 8 and add Back To You to the mid-season schedule. It’s perfect for CBS and another show that could get them some Emmys. Something that seem to allude quite a few of their shows. Why let NBC get all the Emmys?

Any more information about moonlight and where it stands. Please let me know.
Bravo, CBS for not having too many “reality” shows. We can’t recall the last time we watched NBC – too much reality garbage.
Will watch HIMYM (as long as they maintain the integrity of the show and don’t get all “Two and a Half Men” on us), will watch Old Christine, will watch Criminal Minds as long as there aren’t too many female abducted/sexually tortured storylines – it’s tiresome and twisted already, boys.

Wow this is an incredibly exciting schedule for CBS..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Well, I’m almost as underwhelmed with this as I was with the CW sked.
The Unit at 10 on Sundays after Coldcase and the Mentalist on Tuesday’s after NCIS. Okaaaaaay.
I hope the beautiful Paula Marshall scores a hit with Project Gary. A good quality hit show is just what she needs. She was very good in Spin City, Sports Night and Nip/Tuck. Out Of Practice was horrible.
Do they really think calling a show “The Mentalist” is a good idea? Even just “Mental” would be better.
Actually Mike, there is a show also called “Mental”. Every pilot season it seems there are at least 2 shows with very similar names. It’s like they are all in school copying off of each other’s papers.

Maybe so, but Oliver Hudson is so great to look at, seems like a decent human, and David Spade is grotesque.
Hey Nikki, any news if CBS will be taking into consideration Back to You at all?
Does CBS have a single show with a minority lead?
Do any of the networks outside of the CW?
In 2008 we live in a world where a person of color can be our president but not the lead on a major network’s show.
It would be great if you could get some comments from the networks on this embarrassment, Nikki.
“In 2008 we live in a world where a person of color can be our president but not the lead on a major network’s show.”
Oh, boy, here we go. Is Obama now going to be the measuring stick for EVERYTHING? And when Obama loses, will the blame be “a person of color can’t get elected” instead of Obama is simply not qualified to be President.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, that has to be the worst timeslot for The Unit. What are they thinking? It is such a better show than NCIS, Cold Case, Without a Trace, etc… It would be interesting to see the ratings numbers next to each show on a list on a website somewhere.
Glad to see that Old Christine is back! I threw up when it was taken off the air for “Rules of Engagment.” That show is just plain rotten through and through.
Oh give it a rest George. As for black leads, I’d say Dennis Haysbert for _The Unit_ qualifies, though that’s definitely an ensemble cast. More like vying with Robert Patrick for primus inter pares.
And there’s always CW: The Steppin Fetchit network (except for _Everybody Hates Chris_, which actually doesn’t suck at all).
The main thing I see being an issue for The Unit in that timeslot is Sunday Night Football. That could be a potential problem.
The Unit is being sent on a suicide mission in that timeslot. To be honest, I’m surprised it wasn’t already canceled. I enjoy the show (though the stuff with the wives is often contrived and forced in to appeal to a non-existant audience) and it certainly deserves better.
I’d say the Friday 10PM slot for Numb3rs does not bode well for its future, either.
