A lot of people talk to me about this show and every time I’m obliged to answer: please watch Hustle!
Leverage is a good show but it has that “artificial” video look.
C’mon Nikki: Come clean. You put this up for us to ridicule it, right?
I think Leverage is much better than Hustle. Smarter, faster, funnier, more relevant. Hustle could have aired in the 80’s. Leverage is definitely a show for our years.
@Thierry
I do watch Hustle. I also watch Leverage. Hustle is 6 eps per year, Leverage is 13 now and 16 this summer. They aren’t mutually exclusive. The most recent season of Hustle seems to have pushed itself much more in the direction of Leverage — it’s interesting to watch how the two shows will interact (I suspect mostly indirectly) going forward.
I like Leverage quite a bit, but if you think…
“Leverage is much better than Hustle. Smarter, faster, funnier, more relevant.”
You’re far too stupid for anyone to care what you think.
Crickets. Hope the show’s funnier than that.
Wow. Lame AND stupid. Any curiosity I might have had about the show has been extinguised by this limp attempt at humor. Also, don’t you have to be a highly watched, highly talked-about show to have anyone care about your “what goes on in the writer’s room” spoof? What show do these people think they write for, “Lost”?
Good thing Leverage is not a comedy.
Is that the same Dean Devlin credited on Who Killed The Electric Car? Coz that’s some range. Shame he couldn’t send the Leverage team in to sort THAT mess out.
The show’s a different league to Hustle – it’s witty, sexy and the actors all look like they’re having a good time. It’s infectious in a good way, whereas the Hustle set seems to infect actors with a bad case of BritishEarnestFaceitis. Hope it runs for years, it’s a welcome relief from forensic murder gore and hospital porn.
Never seen Leverage and never will after that.
Incredibly boring and unfunny.
Why would you post something this bad?
Hey, look! Isn’t that the infamous beaver/bigfoot on the writer’s door at the very beginning??
Well, if the spoof is any indication of the entertainment value of the show, I won’t be tuning in anytime soon.
I’ve never seen Hustle (though I love love love British tv) but I quite enjoy Leverage. There’s room on the tube for similar shows; why must we only love one or the other?
Leverage is great and hopefully gets the recognition it deserves as a light and entertaining / exciting series.
I love the show, really glad I stumbled across it.
The video is *supposed* to be silly and dumb. It was obviously designed to be a shot-out to the show’s hardcore fans. The snarky bastards who read Nikki Finke probably aren’t the target audience here.
Regardless, it’s a great series. Hustle is a stale crapfest in comparison… and in the current season they seem to have run out of their own cons because now they’re literally STEALING from Leverage’s playbook.
I think hustle and leverage are two great shows.
Leverage is great, although it does have the artificial look about it sometimes. I think what i like about leverage over hustle, is find it more funny.
I’ve seen both now. i prefer hustle, as i like it’s elegant understated style, and how the twist is usually delivered like a magician’s sleight of hand – a bit like The Prestige, which is to me a great movie. leverage is more epic than understated, with the fairly clear ‘good side’, which should appeal to americans.
