RATINGS RAT RACE: ‘Red Widow’ & ‘Once’ Hit Lows, ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Even, ‘Cleveland Show’ Down, ‘Mentalist’ Dips

Three weeks into its latest season, All-Star Celebrity Apprentice (1.8/5) had a guest appearance by last season’s winner Arsenio Hall last night. For the second week in a row, fast national ratings have the two-hour Donald Trump-led series even with its previous week’s final numbers among adults 18-49. Things were not so rosy for another show in its third week: ABC’s mob family drama Red Widow (1.0/3) was down 9% from last week’s show, a season low for the freshman drama executive produced by The Twilight Saga screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. ABC’s Sunday night began with America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.4/5) followed Once Upon A Time (2.2/6), which dipped 4% from last week’s series-low tie to hit a new low. NBC was the All-Star Celebrity Apprentice (1.7/4) network last night. New and encore episodes of the Donald Trump-hosted reality series made up the network’s entire Sunday night. The two-hour second episode, which saw the distinctly not A-listers head to Universal Studios Orlando, was flat with the final numbers of last week’s lowest-ever season premiere. NBC started the night with a repeat (0.8/2) of last week’s two-hour All-Star Celebrity Apprentice season premiere.

Another series’ second week was not as merciful. The one-hour second week of ABC’s Red Widow (1.2/3) saw the highly promoted family mob drama perilously fall 20% from its two-hour March 3 premiere. Read More »
