AmericaEXCLUSIVE: Co-director and host Dinesh D’Souza could face jail time after pleading guilty today to making illegal campaign contributions. But that will not stop his upcoming documentary America: Imagine A World Without Her from hitting the big screen in limited release next month and going wide July 4. A follow-up to 2012’s 2016: Obama’s America, the second-highest-grossing political documentary of all time, the John Sullivan-directed America seeks to respond to those who say the country’s “greatness is based on theft, plunder and oppression,” according to D’Souza. In this clip shot near Tampa, FL, D’Souza goes the re-creation route to show Christopher Columbus discovering America — a fact that a Native American activist tells D’Souza she wishes never occurred.
