Here’s Beauty & The Beast:
British actor Max Brown (Spooks) has been added to the cast of the CW/CBS Studios pilot Beauty & The Beast. Loosely based on the 1980s CBS series, the project centers on Catherine (Kristin Kreuk), a tough-minded NYPD homicide detective. Brown will play Evan, a medical examiner who regularly works with Catherine. Brown, repped by UTA, UK’s United Agents and Luber Roklin, was a series regular on Showtime’s The Tudors.
Necar Zadegan (24) has been cast in the CW medical drama First Cut, playing Gina, a rock-star heart surgeon. She is with APA and Yoni Ovadia.
Meanwhile, after lengthy negotiations, The Walking Dead‘s Jon Bernthal has closed his deal to star in Frank Darabont’s TNT drama pilot L.A. Noir, a fast-paced crime drama set in Los Angeles during the 1940s and ’50s, reuniting with the former Walking Dead showrunner.
Karen LeBlanc has been added to the cast of ABC’s pilot Beauty And The Beast. She will play, Ehren, a role originally written for a man. Ehren is the de-facto head of the rebel band that wants to see Emperor Dorian (F. Murray Abraham) de-throned. LeBlanc is with Greene & Assos. and manager Gayle Abrams.
Tower Prep star Drew Van Acker, who is recurring on Pretty Little Liars, has joined ABC’s soap Devious Maids, playing the son of one of the Beverly Hills families that employ the maids. He is with WME and Luber Roklin. Also cast in the pilot is Brett Cullen as the very wealthy Michael who recently remarried after a long, destructive marriage. He is with Domain and Lovett Management.
