Cinedigm Acquires Teen Assassin Pic ‘Violet & Daisy’

(Los Angeles, CA; November 12, 2012) — Cinedigm Entertainment Group, a division of Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (NASDAQ: CIDM), has acquired North American distribution rights to writer-director Geoffrey Fletcher’s VIOLET & DAISY, which world premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. Fletcher recently earned the Cinevation Award for his work on VIOLET & DAISY at the 2012 Savannah Film Festival. Cinedigm’s theatrical distribution will commence in 2013, with subsequent roll out across on-demand, digital and DVD.

Cinedigm Acquires Colin Firth-Emily Blunt Pic ‘Arthur Newman’

This was tapped as one of the hot titles of this year’s Toronto Film Festival. The Dante Ariola-directed comedic romance Arthur Newman stars Colin Firth and Emily Blunt in the story of a depressed divorced dad who fakes his death and adopts a new identity, then meets a troubled woman who spurs him on to new heights during a cross-country road trip. Becky Johnston wrote the script. Cinedigm Entertainment Group has acquired all U.S. rights and plans a theatrical release in the middle of next year, followed by on-demand, premium digital, DVD, and TV releases. UTA Independent Film Group, CAA and Eric Greenfeld repped the filmmakers, with Vincent Scordino repping Cinedigm.

Cinedigm Forges Alliance With Alloy Digital To Send Videos To VOD and Movie Theaters

(NASDAQ: CIDM), and Alloy Digital, LLC (“Alloy Digital”), a leading next generation media company, have entered into a strategic content distribution partnership. Cinedigm will offer packaged content from Alloy Digital’s immensely popular SMOSH and Clevver Media YouTube channel brands on ancillary transactional sales platforms, digital store fronts, VOD, SVOD, and home entertainment platforms. The two companies are also exploring a pilot program using Cinedigm’s digital distribution capabilities into movie theatres to bring Alloy Digital’s highly engaging content brands to audiences across the United States. Additionally, the companies plan to develop recurring alternative content channels for theatres, as well as other independent film ventures.
