Ronnie Gene Blevins (Joe) has been cast in New Line’s genre pic Crawlspace, directed by Vampire Killers helmer Phil Claydon. He’ll play Ray Walsh, the gruff and mysterious next-door neighbor of widower (Michael Vartan), who moves into a new home in the suburbs with his daughter and new wife. Peter Safran and Rick Alvarez are producing the pic which began filming last month in L.A. Blevins is repped by Pure Arts.
Reiley McClendon has booked a role in Shangri-La Suite opposite Luke Grimes and Emily Browning. The indie drama is set in 1974 and focuses on two troubled 20-year-olds who set out to kill Elvis Presley. McClendon will play young Elvis. The actor, who recurs on ABC Family’s The Fosters and next appears in the feature Outpost 37, is repped by Innovative Artists and Zero Gravity Management.
Amy Ryan has landed a role in Paramount’s live-action/CGI hybrid Monster Trucks. Plot details for director Chris Wedge’s film are being kept under wraps, but Ryan will play a the single mom trying to make ends meet while raising her teenage son. Her credits include Clear History and Breathe In and she recently wrapped the feature Don Verdean. Ryan next will be seen in Birdman and Devil’s Knot. TV credits include The Office, In Treatment and The Wire. She is repped by Gersh and attorney Dave Feldman.
Blake Jenner has been cast in New Line’s Crawlspace. Michael Vartan stars a widower with a daughter who gets remarried and, after a rough patch of unemployment, gets the chance for a new start in a new house in the suburbs. But the house has a dark secret. Jenner will play Tommy, who discovers the horrors hidden within the house’s walls. Principal photography was set to begin today in Los Angeles. Jenner is a regular on Fox’s Glee, following his Season 2 win on The Glee Project. He is repped by Mosaic and CAA.
Chilean helmer Pablo Larrain (No) will direct the Scarface remake for Universal Pictures.

Trouble is the house has a very disturbing secret from the past that rears up. Principal photography is set to begin March 24, 2014 in Los Angeles.
Vartan is currently playing the new romantic love interest to Vera Farmiga’s Norma in the A&E’s Psycho prequel series Bates Motel, which is currently airing in its second season.
