Lindsay Goffman is joining the Hawaii Five-O actor’s production company as Head of Development and Keo Lee has been hired as a Development Executive. Daniel Dae Kim‘s CBS TV Studios-based 3AD was launched in October with a two-year first-look deal to develop and produce projects for network and cable. Goffman comes to the company after a stint as VP Development at Gross Entertainment, and before that she was a development exec at FremantleMedia. Lee worked at CJ Entertainment as a creative executive in its international production and financing unit.
Hawaii Five-O‘s Daniel Dae Kim is branching out to producing. He has launched the production banner 3AD, which will be based at CBS TV Studios, the studio behind Hawaii Five-O, with a two-year first-look. Under the pact, Kim will develop and produce projects for network and cable. He is in the process of hiring a development executive. Kim, repped by APA, Anonymous Content and Klevan/Longarzo, is filming the fourth season of CBS’ Hawaii Five-) as Chin Ho Kelly. He rose to fame with his role as Jin Soo Kwon on ABC hit Lost, for which he shared a SAG Award for best drama ensemble.
Two months after the big tsunami episode of CBS’ Hawaii Five-0, the show is facing a real one. Hawaii, where the series is shot, has been under a tsunami warning after the massive 8.9 earthquake in Japan but, according to a rep for CBS TV Studios, which produces the series, Hawaii is shooting today as scheduled as production is not near the water and there has been minimal impact from the disaster in Honolulu. “Back at work, bleary eyed & heartsick, but very grateful,” co-star Daniel Dae Kim tweeted this morning. “As far as I know, everyone is safe.”
Craig Bankey has left WKT Public Relations to form his own company repping actors and filmmakers.
