UPDATE: Letterman Show Gets Punked; So No Lindsay Lohan Appearance After All

WEDNESDAY AM UPDATE: Statement from Tom Keaney for David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants Inc which produces the Late Show:

“Lindsay Lohan will not be delivering a Top Ten list on Thursday’s LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, as had been previously announced. We made a mistake. Someone purporting to be a friend of Lindsay’s reached out to the show yesterday, allegedly on her behalf, and booked her to appear. Clearly, this person was not authorized to make commitments on her behalf. We wish Lindsay well, and look forward to having her on the show in the future.”

TUESDAY: David Letterman’s Late Show tweeted today that accused grand theft criminal Lindsay Lohan will be presenting Thursday’s Top Ten List. I don’t know which is worse: that Dave is exploiting her for ratings during sweeps, or that she keeps exploiting herself. (Deadline only writes about celeb careers.) I hear she was booked before the Top 10 list has even been written. What do you think the topic should be?
