Isaiah Washington To Co-Star In CW’ ’100′, Michael Michele In Fox’s ‘Delirium’

Grey’s Anatomy alum Isaiah Washington is returning to series television with a co-starring role in the CW pilot The 100, based on Alloy’s books. Set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization, it revolves around 100 juvenile delinquents sent back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. Washington will play Chancellor Jaha, the leader of the remaining human race now living in the orbiting space station. Washington, whose indie Blue Caprice was recently picked up by Sundance Selects, just signed with Caliber Media and Inqlusion Entertainment.

Michele, repped by Innovative and Untitled, will play Senator Elyse Hargrove, an ambitious widow with three children and Presidential aspirations who has a growing opposition to the political insurrection.

‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Winner Jeanine Mason Joins Fox Pilot ‘Delirium’

Jeanine Mason, who won Season 5 of Fox‘s competition series So You Think You Can Dance, has been cast in the network’s drama pilot Delirium. The project, from 20th Century Fox TV and Chernin Entertainment and based on Lauren Oliver’s book trilogy, is set in a world where love is deemed illegal and is able to be eradicated with a special procedure. With 95 days to go until her scheduled treatment, Lena Holoway (Emma Roberts) falls in love. Mason will play Lena’s best friend Hana, who also faces the procedure. An apparently flirty girl who lives next door to Julian Fineman (Gregg Sulkin) and enjoys messing with his head, she is ultimately less rebellious than she appears. Billy Campbell, Corey Reynolds and Daren Kagasoff co star in the pilot, written and executive produced by Karyn Usher. Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope and Paula Mazur are also exec producers. Mason, whose recent credits include a turn on ABC Family’s Bunheads, is repped by ABA Talent and 3 Arts.

The Secret Life Of The American Teenager‘s Daren Kagasoff has landed the male lead opposite Emma Roberts in Delirium, Fox‘s drama pilot from Karyn Usher, 20th TV and Chernin Entertainment. Based on Lauren Oliver’s bestselling book trilogy, it is set in a world where love is deemed illegal and can be eradicated with a special procedure. With 95 days to go until her scheduled treatment, Lena Holoway (Roberts) does the unthinkable: she falls in love. Kagasoff, repped by CAA and John Carrabino Management, plays Alex, a young, handsome police officer with a secret agenda, who finds himself intensely attracted to Lena.

Emma Roberts To Star In Fox Drama Pilot ‘Delirium’

Emma Roberts has been tapped as the lead of Delirium, Fox‘s drama pilot from Karyn Usher, 20th TV and Chernin Entertainment. Based on Lauren Oliver’s bestselling book trilogy about a world where love is deemed illegal and can be eradicated with a special procedure. With 95 days to go until her scheduled treatment, Lena Holoway (Roberts) does the unthinkable: she falls in love. Usher executive produces the pilot with Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope and Paula Mazur.

This marks Roberts’ return to television, where she rose to fame as the teenage star of the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous. The actress, daughter of Eric Roberts and niece of Julia Roberts, had been focused on features for the past six years despite multiple pilot offers from the broadcast networks. Roberts, repped by CAA and manager David Sweeney, recently completed the New Line comedy We’re The Millers, Lionsgate’s Empire State and the indie Palo Alto Stories.

UPDATE: Fox Picks Up Three Drama, Four Comedy Pilots, Including ‘Sleepy Hollow’

UPDATE: Fox has also picked up three more drama pilots, joining Greg Kinnear starrer Rake. They are the Ruben Fleischer-produced drama The List, Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci’s Sleepy Hollow and Karyn Usher’s Delirium.

The List, is from writer Paul Zbyszewski (Lost) and 20th TV, where Zombieland director Fleischer is based. The project centers on Deputy U.S. Marshal Dan Shaker who, when members of the Federal Witness Security Program start getting killed, leads the hunt for the person who stole “the list” – a file with the identities of every member of the program. Zbyszewski and Fleischer executive produce.

Kurtzman and Orci‘s Sleepy Hollow, which had a put pilot commitment, has Underworld helmer Len Wiseman on board to direct. 20th TV and Kurtzman and Orci’s studio-based K/O Paper Products produce. Described as a modern–day supernatural thriller based on The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, it follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow’s local female sheriff to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil. Kurtzman and Orci wrote the script with up-and-coming writer Phillip Iscove, on whose idea the project is based. Kurtzman, Orci and Wiseman executive produce Sleepy Hollow with K/O’s Heather Kadin, while Iscove serves as supervising producer. Another Sleepy Hollow drama is in contention at the CW. Read More »
