Harry Potter‘s Emma Watson will lead lit adaptation Your Voice In My Head, adapted from Emma Forrest’s NY Times bestseller about a young bipolar Englishwoman living in New York. Francesca Gregorini (Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes) is set to direct from Forrest’s Black List script. Alison Owen and Benaroya Pictures‘ Michael Benaroya are producing. International Film Trust is repping international sales and made the announcement today out of Toronto. CAA is repping domestic rights. Watson’s repped by WME and Markham Froggat Irwin in the UK. Gregorini is represented by CAA, The Schiff Company and Bloom Hergott. Forrest is repped by CAA and Casarotto Ramsay & Associates in the UK.
EXCLUSIVE: Below is the first official trailer for Emanuel And The Truth About Fishes which was part of Sundance’s U.S. dramatic competition section in January. Director/screenwriter Francesca Gregorini signed with CAA hours before the film’s bow in Park City. It stars Kaya Scodelario, Jessica Biel, Alfred Molina and Frances O’Connor in the story of a troubled girl who becomes preoccupied with her mysterious new neighbor, who bears a striking resemblance to her dead mother. The film debuts in the UK at next week’s Sundance London Film and Music Festival.
EXCLUSIVE: Hours before her film makes its Sundance debut, director Francesca Gregorini has signed with CAA. She makes her solo directing debut with Emanuel And The Truth About Fishes. She wrote the film, which premieres in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at Sundance and stars Kaya Scodelario and Jessica Biel.
Gregorini previously co-directed Tanner Hall with Tatiana Von Furstenberg. That film starred Rooney Mara and played Toronto in 2009. Gregorini is managed by Schiff Company’s Kenny Goodman and her lawyer is Greg Slewett.
