Ethan Suplee Joins Jaime Pressly’s TV Land Comedy Series ‘Jennifer Falls’ As Regular

Jaime-Ethan_320It’s a My Name Is Earl reunion on another single-camera comedy series, TV Land‘s newly picked up Jennifer Falls. Ethan Suplee has been tapped as a regular on comedy series toplined by his former Earl co-star Jaime Pressly. He will play Jennifer Doyle’s (Pressly) brother, Wayne. The role has been recast; it was was played by Joel David Moore in the pilot. Jennifer Falls centers on Jennifer Doyle (Pressly), a career woman and mother who must move back in with her own mom (Jessica Walter) after being let go from her high-powered, six-figure-salary job. With her teenage daughter in tow, Jennifer has to face her new life and figure out the next steps to rebuild. Jennifer Falls is executive produced by creator Matthew Carlson, Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis. This is Pressly and Suplee’s second post-Earl on-screen reunion. They guest starred together on an episode of Fox’s Raising Hope, from Earl creator Greg Garcia, in which they played a married couple.

TV Lands Picks Up ‘Jennifer Falls’ As First Single-Camera Comedy Series

presslyTV Land has handed a series order to Jennifer Falls, a single-camera comedy starring Jaime Pressly. The project originally was developed as multi-camera but was shot as a single-camera pilot and will now mark TV Land’s first single-camera series. Jennifer Falls centers on Jennifer Doyle (Pressly), a career woman and mother who must move back in with her own mom after being let go from her high-powered, six-figure-salary job. With her teenage daughter in tow, Jennifer has to face her new life and figure out the next steps to rebuild. Jennifer Falls is executive produced by creator Matthew Carlson, Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis.

NBC Series ‘Crossbones’ Casts Duo; Three Added To TV Land Pilot ‘Jennifer Falls’

Alcatraz alum David Hoflin and Yasmine Al Massri have been cast as regulars in the NBC pirate drama Crossbones, from Luther creator Neil Cross. The series is set in 1715 on the Bahamian island of New Providence where the diabolical pirate Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard (John Malkovich), reigns over a rogue nation of thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors. Aussie Hoflin, repped by Resolution and Genesis, will play Vane, a pirate captain known for being a vicious, villainous and murderous predator. Al Massri will play Selma, a poised and elegant Arabian woman who is Blackbeard’s one confidante. Filming is set to begin right away in Puerto Rico.

Nora Kirkpatrick (The Office), Joel David Moore (Avatar) and Jessica Walter (Arrested Development) will co-star opposite Jaime Pressly in the TV Land single-camera comedy pilot Jennifer Falls. It centers on Jennifer Doyle (Pressly), a hot-tempered, high-flying businesswoman who gets fired from her job and is forced to move back with her mom (Walter), bringing along her teenage daughter.
