Daniel Bernhardt Joins ‘John Wick’; Dan Fogler & Steve-O Added To ‘Barely Lethal’

daniel-headshot__131127235230-275x343Daniel Bernhardt (The Matrix Reloaded) has been added to the cast of revenge action thriller John Wick. Directed by Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, the film stars Keanu Reeves as the title character, a former hitman. After a thug named Iosef Tarasov (Alfie Allen), and his friends steal John’s car and in the process kill the dog given to him by his late wife, he tracks the thieves to New York. But Tarasov’s father Viggo (Michael Nyqvist), a wealthy and vicious Russian crime boss, puts a large bounty on John’s head, which Marcus (Willem Dafoe), an old “friend” of Wick’s, is determined to collect. Bernhardt, currently seen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, plays Kirill, a formal Russian military commander who is Viggo’s henchman.

Dan FoglerDan Fogler and Steve-O have joined the cast of RKO’s Barely Lethal. The Kyle Newman-directed action comedy produced by Brett Ratner stars Hailee Steinfeld as a 16-year old international assassin who fakes her own death in pursuit of a “normal” adolescence. Fogler plays Mr. Drumm, a popular high school teacher who takes a special interest in his students’ lives. His credits include Fanboys, Hannibal and voice roles in Free Birds, Kung Fu Panda and Mars Needs Moms. ‘John Wick’ Adds Quartet To Cast; Brad William Henke Joins ‘Fury’

Michael Nyqvist, Alfie Allen, Adrianne Palicki and Dean Winters have joined the revenge thriller John Wick. Keanu Reeves stars as the title character, an ex-hitman who goes after the guy who stole his car and in the process killed Wick’s dog — a present from his late wife. Turns out the thief’s dad is a crime boss in New York, who hires Wick’s old friend (Willem Dafoe) to kill him. Chad Stahelski & David Leitch direct from a screenplay by Derek Kolstad. Nyqvist’s credits include Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol and the original The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and its sequels; Allen stars on HBO’s Game Of Thrones; Palicki was in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and TV’s Friday Night Lights; and Winters’ credits include 30 Rock, Law & Order: SVU and Rescue Me.

Brad William Henke has joined the ensemble cast of writer-director David Ayer’s World War II tank actioner Fury. Willem Dafoe Joins Keanu Reeves Hitman Thriller ‘John Wick’

EXCLUSIVE: Keanu Reeves has a new friend and an enemy in John Wick. Two-time Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe is set play a hitman in the Thunder Road pic. The thriller sees Dafoe’s Marcus character hired to take out the Reeves-portrayed title character, who is a former contract killer himself. Oh yeah, and Marcus also happens to be a close friend of the Wick character. He was the one who encouraged Wick to leave the life after his wife dies. Only later do things turn sour when Marcus gets the job to kill his friend. In the film, Reeves stars as the retired hitman who goes after the guy who stole his car and in the process killed Wick’s beloved dog — a present from his late wife. Turns out the thief’s dad is a crime boss in New York, who puts a contract out on Wick. Derek Kolstad wrote the script for John Wick. Dafoe recently joined The Fault In Our Stars and also will appear in Scott Cooper’s Out Of The Furnace, Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac and Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel. Kolstad is repped by APA and New Wave Entertainment. Willem Dafoe is repped by ICM Partners and Circle of Confusion.
