Kristin Davis Joins CBS’ ‘Bad Teacher’

Sex And The City alumna Kristin Davis is returning to series television with a role in the CBS comedy pilot Bad Teacher, from Sony TV. Based on the 2011 movie, CBS’ single-camera pilot, written/exec produced by Hilary Winston, directed by Don Scardino and exec produced by the film’s writers Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, centers on hot, confident, unapologetic former trophy wife Meredith Davis (Ari Graynor), who becomes a teacher to find a new man after her husband leaves her without a dime. Davis, repped by UTA, Mosaic and Lawyer Jason Sloane, will play Ginny, a history teacher, choir director, Faculty President and Meredith’s nemesis. The role was played by Lucy Punch in the movie. The pilot is also exec produced by Michael Lasker, Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen.

Lifetime Greenlights Movie About Mental Illness Starring & Produced By Kristin Davis

EXCLUSIVE: Sex And The City alumna Kristin Davis has signed on to star in and executive produce Of Two Minds, a Lifetime original movie that deals with mental illness. Tammy Blanchard will star opposite Davis in the film, which chronicles the relationship between a woman (Davis) and her younger sister (Blanchard), who has schizophrenia. British director Jim O’Hanlon (The Deep) will direct from a script by Richard Friedenberg (The 19th Wife). Also producing the movie are Frank Konigsberg and Daniel Ostroff. Filming is slated to begin in mid-November in Los Angeles. Davis, repped by UTA and Mosaic, will next be seen in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. ICM-repped Blanchard is currently seen in Moneyball.

Kristin Davis Headines NBC Comedy Project And Joins New Line’s 3D ‘Journey’ Sequel

Sex and the City co-star Kristin Davis is returning to series television with a new single-camera comedy. Davis is set to star and co-executive produce NBC’s The Happiness Project, a comedy based on Gretchen Rubin’s best-selling memoir, which writer Kristin Newman (Chuck, How I Met Your Mother) is in negotiations to write and executive produce. Separately, Davis has been tapped to co-star opposite Dwayne Johnson and Michael Caine in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, New Line’s sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D, in which she will play love interest to Johnson and mother to Josh Hutcherson.
