Hot Trailer: Joss Whedon’s ‘In Your Eyes’

The Avengers helmer Joss Whedon is trying the other end of the spectrum with micro-budget indie relationship drama In Your Eyes, which premiered at Tribeca and is being offered exclusively to viewers via online platform Vimeo. Brin Hill directs the Whedon-penned and -produced pic about an ex-con (Michael Stahl-David) and an East Coast doctor’s wife (Zoe Kazan) who suddenly start sharing an inexplicable metaphysical link. Viewers can watch the trailer which debuted today below and, thanks to the brave new world of digital distribution, can then watch the entire film for $5 via Vimeo on Demand:

Michael Stahl-David Lands Male Lead In NBC Comedy Pilot ‘Two To Go’

Michael Stahl-DavidMichael Stahl-David (My Generation, The Black Donnellys) is in final negotiations to play the co-lead opposite Christine Woods in NBC’s single-camera comedy pilot Two To Go, from Universal TV and studio-based David Janollari Entertainment and Jason Bateman‘s Aggregate. Written by Bryan Shukoff & Kevin Chesley and directed by Craig Zisk, the project centers on longtime best friends Kurt (Stahl-David) and Laura (Woods), who grapple with the challenges of modern-day dating while their group of friends try and prove that they are destined to be together. Stahl-David is with ICM Partners and Management 360.

‘The Bounceback’ Adds Cast

EXCLUSIVE: Michael Stahl-David, Sara Paxton, Zach Cregger and Addison Timlin have joined the cast of The Bounceback. Directed by Bryan Poyser, the indie romantic comedy chronicles two former couples that end up in Austin, Texas on the same emotionally fraught weekend. Trace Sheehan and Megan Gilbride are producing the project, which is set to start filming this month. Executive producers are Ross Dinerstein and Kevin Iwashina of Preferred Content. Stahl-David, who starred in 2008’s Cloverfield, is with ICM and Management 360. Paxton, who starred in Shark Night 3-D, is with UTA and Stein Entertainment Group. Cregger, who was in Whitest Kids U’ Know, is with WME and The Collective. Timlin, who is in the ABC pilot Zero Hour, is with Gersh and Management 360.

Joss Whedon’s ‘In Your Eyes’ Lands Leads

EXCLUSIVE: Michael Stahl-David and Zoe Kazan have signed on to star in the sci-fi/romance indie In Your Eyes, which Brin Hill will direct from a script by Joss Whedon. Whedon’s Bellwether partner Kai Cole producing along with Night & Day Pictures’ Michael Roiff and David Rothernberg. The film is a described as a metaphysical love story about two seemingly polar opposites who are deeply connected in ways neither could have ever imagined.

Stahl-David stars as Dylan, a boyish-looking man who served time in jail for robbery when he refused to rat on his accomplices. Now, he is living in a trailer in New Mexico. Kazan stars as Rebecca, an attractive but skinny and slightly awkward woman, who is married to an older doctor and living in Connecticut. The two have a powerful connection, and they can hear and see each other, even though they have never met. The film will start production soon in Los Angeles and New Hampshire. Stahl-David made his feature film debut as the lead in JJ Abrams’ Cloverfield for Paramount, and last starred in ABC’s My Generation. He is repped by Management 360 and ICM. Kazan, who scripted the Jonathan Dayton-Valerie Faris-directed He Loves Me,  is repped by Parseghian/Planco and Gersh.
