EXCLUSIVE: Changes are afoot at Momentum Entertainment Group, the entertainment company launched in 2011 by marketing agency Momentum Worldwide, parent company of Hollywood PR agency PMK*BNC, which Momentum has been funding through its Inter Public Group. Momentum Entertainment Group president Steven Marrs is out. Additionally, Momentum Entertainment’s unscripted division headed by Chuck Dalaklis has been dissolved. I hear the entertainment division is being reorganized into scripted, the part of the company that has done well. Under scripted head Nick Hamm, Momentum Entertainment has landed two series orders, for Rogue and Full Circle at DirecTV, and has several other series in the works, including The Seeker for Warner Bros. Digital.
Marrs, who brought with him his production company Branded Pictures, headed Momentum Entertainment Group and its three divisions: Momentum Entertainment, Artist & Brand and Branded Pictures. I hear he has been let go because of performance-related reasons. As for Dalaklis, he is expected to keep a relationship with Momentum while producing through his own production company going forward.

EXCLUSIVE: Marketing agency Momentum Worldwide, parent company of Hollywood PR agency PMK*BNC, has launched Momentum Entertainment Group, which will have offices in Hollywood, New Orleans and New York. The new group, which Momentum will fund through its Inter Public Group, will be comprised of three divisions: Momentum Entertainment, Artist & Brand and Branded Pictures. It will be headed by media executive/producer Steven Marrs (The World Music Awards), who will serve as president, reporting to Momentum Worldwide Chairman and CEO Chris Weil. “We modeled ourselves after the original premise of the United Artist Studio — bringing great creative talent from various facets of entertainment together under one roof and providing a structure and ownership model to bring great programming to life,” said Marrs. “In creating Momentum Entertainment Group, we are building an innovative way of providing the Hollywood creative community with unique financing and packaging models to connect with broadcasters and brands worldwide.” Marrs is bringing with him his production company Branded Pictures, which will now become a division of MEG providing a full range of in-house production capabilities for broadcast and digital programming. Joining Marrs at the MEG is Chuck Dalaklis (Cartoon Network’s Dude What Would Happen), who will serve as SVP Alternative Programming & Development for Momentum Entertainment, which will handle content development, packaging and distribution for reality, drama and comedy TV projects and live events.
