After a two-year stint as a regular on Showtime’s Nurse Jackie,Morris Chestnut is segueing to a regular role on another cable series, TNT‘s upcoming drama Legends, from producer Howard Gordon and Fox 21. The series stars Sean Bean as Martin Odum, an FBI Deep Cover Operations agent who has the uncanny ability to transform himself into a completely different person for each job. Chestnut will play Odum’s rival Antonio “Tony” Cimarro, a quick-witted FBI Deep Cover Operative and a natural-born talent for assuming “legends.” Chestnut, repped by Gersh and KLWGN,next will be seen in Universal’s November release The Best Man Holiday.
This Sony/TriStar release from WWE Studios features Halle Berry as a 911 call center operator and Abigail Breslin as a kidnap victim she’s trying to save plus Morris Chestnut as a detective. Brad Anderson directs from a script by Richard D’Ovidio. The Call (formerly called The Hive) opens March 15th.

Morris Chestnut has been set for the male lead of Sony’sThe Hive, opposite Halle Berry. He plays her love interest, a cop, in the Brad Anderson-directed thriller that also stars Abigail Breslin. At the same time, he has landed a strong role inKick-Ass 2, essentially playing the guardian for the young butt kicker played by Chloe Moretz. The Hive focuses on a 911 call center: a hub of frenzied activity where desperate phone calls come in. When a call comes in from Hyden (Breslin) a kidnapped teen who is stuffed in a trunk, a veteran operator (Berry) takes the line, using her considerable skills to keep the girl calm, while trying feverishly to find the kidnapper before it’s too late. Chestnut, a regular on last season’s FX drama American Horror story, just wrapped the Universal comedy ID Theft opposite Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy. He was last seen on screen in Think Like A Man. He’s repped by Gersh and KLWGN Ent.
Morris Chestnut has joined the cast of Universal‘sIdentity Thief, opposite Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy. The Seth Gordon-directed comedy is produced by Bateman and Scott Stuber. Chestnut will play a Boston police detective in the caper comedy about a successful man whose life is ruined when a women steals his identity. T.I. and Genesis Rodriguez also star. Chestnut was recently seen in Think Like A Man and FX’s American Horror Story. He’s repped by Gersh and KLWGN Entertainment.
