Trailer Debut: SXSW’s Spirit Award Nominee ‘Natural Selection’

Check out the trailer for Natural Selection, a big winner at last year’s SXSW Film Festival where it picked up the prizes for best narrative feature, the audience award and breakthrough performance for Rachael Harris. Harris is nominated for best female performance at the upcoming Independent Spirit Awards and Pickering is up for best first feature. The feature centers on a devoted Christian housewife (Harris) who’s sheltered suburban life is rocked when she discovers her dying husband has a 23 year-old illegitimate son living in Florida. Plagued by guilt and loneliness she sets out to find her husband’s offspring to bring him back to their Texas home. Cinema Guild opens Natural Selection March 16th in New York at the Angelika followed by a national roll out.
