UPDATE: Julianna Margulies, David Krumholtz & CBS Pay Tribute To Tony Scott

UPDATED: Tributes to Tony Scott from the Hollywood community have been pouring in following the director-producer’s tragic death. They include remembrances by the stars of the TV series he produced: The Good Wife‘s Julianna Margulies and NumbersDavid Krumholtz. Numbers marked the first TV series for Ridley and Tony Scott’s Scott Free Prods. It was followed by CBS’ acclaimed legal drama The Good Wife, with the duo also behind The Pillars Of The Earth limited series and its sequel, World Without End, History’s Gettysburg special and the upcoming A&E miniseries Coma, which debuts in two weeks, on Labor Day. (There are no plans to shift the premiere date in light of Tony Scott’s passing.) CBS and CBS Studios, the network and studio behind both Numbers and The Good Wife, also issued a statement (below):

ER alumna Julianna Margulies scored a rare second successful TV series with The Good Wife, which has earned her an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a SAG Award. Here is her statement released to Deadline:

ION Acquires Crime Drama ‘Numbers’

ION Television has closed an off-network syndication deal with CBS Television Distribution for all six seasons (118 episodes) of the CBS procedural drama Numbers. The series is set to premiere on ION during the 2012/13 television season. “Numbers aligns perfectly with our general entertainment schedule and is a natural next step in our syndicated series expansion strategy,” said Brandon Burgess, CEO, ION Media Networks. On ION, Numbers joins a lineup that includes original program WWE Main Event and off-network series Flashpoint, Criminal Minds, Cold Case and Leverage. Read More »
