Orlando Jones and Katia Winter (Dexter) have been cast in Sleepy Hollow, Fox’s drama pilot co-written by Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci and directed by Len Wiseman. A modern–day supernatural thriller based on The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, the project, from 20th TV and K/O Paper Products, follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow’s local female sheriff to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil. Jones, repped by Paradigm and New Wave, will play Lt. Frank Williams, the serious and sternly professional detective transferred to Sleepy Hollow to investigate a double homicide. Swedish actress Winter, repped by Gersh and Schachter Entertainment, will play Katrina, Crane’s wife and a nurse with the 37thRegiment in the Revolutionary War. Kurtzman, Orci, Wiseman and Heather Kadin exec produce, co-writer Phillip Iscove serves as supervising producer.

Written and executive produced by writer-actress Stephnie Weir and executive produced by Claudia Lonow, Counter Culture revolves around three sisters, Billie (Kerri Kenney), Nonie (Burke) and Joyce (Margo Martindale), running their family diner together in West Texas who find that sibling dynamics are always getting in the way of getting the job done. Nonie is the put upon middle sister, a dreamer.

The single-camera comedy, from 20th TV and Imagine, centers on Polly (Sarah Chalke), a recently divorced single mom, who moves in with her eccentric parents, Elaine and Max, (Brad Garrett, Elizabeth Perkins) a couple who’s full of life but knows no boundaries. EXCLUSIVE: Talent manager/producer Lisa Blum has joined New Wave Entertainment. Blum, who comes from The Collective, is bringing all of her clients including Marlon Wayans, Cheri Oteri, Orlando Jones, Jennifer Hollander (Universal’s Merman), Jim Jefferies (HBO’s I Swear To God), Gary Owen (TBS’ House of Payne), Virginia Williams (USA’s Fairly Legal), Pete Johansson and Sammi Hanratty (American Girl).
Blum previously ran her own management company for six years. Before that, she was with Mosaic Media’s predecessor Gold/Miller, where she began her 15-year relationship with the Wayans brothers among other clients. While at Gold/Miller, in addition to managing talent, Blum also developed and produced TV and film projects, including movies Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2 and the WB series The Wayans Bros.
She most recently developed Pretty Ugly at Paramount, which will star Marlon Wayans; The Year of Living Biblically, also at Paramount, an adaptation of the AJ Jacobs’ book that is currently being written for Marlon to star; and Merman at Universal/Imagine.
Megan Dodds has landed the female lead opposite Ethan Hawke in Fox’s drama pilot Exit Strategy, a high-octane procedural about a team of 5 experts associated with the CIA led by Eric Shaw (Hawke) who are deployed when a CIA operation goes bad to extract the ones involved before it’s too late. Dodds will play Dr. Hannah Burke, the medic on the team who has a genius-level IQ, trusts no one and appears to have a romantic connection with Shaw. Antoine Fuqua is directing the pilot for 20th TV and Kurtzman/Orci. Exit Strategy brings Dodds, repped by ICM and U.K.’s Independent Talent, back to Fox and 20th TV. Two years ago, she had a talent deal with the network and studio, which led to her casting in the pilot Courtroom K.
Michael Mosley has boarded ABC’s drama pilot Pan Am, a sexy soap set against the Jet-Age about pilots and flight attendants working at the iconic Pan Am airline in the 1960s. The Scrubs alum repped by Gersh and Smith Talent Group, will play a co-pilot, a waggish jokester with a buzz cut and an infectious smile.
