The fan-chosen People’s Choice Awards will air live on January 8 from the Nokia Theatre LA Live, CBS said this morning. The two-hour show will be live on the East Coast from 9-11 ET and tape delayed PT. Mark Burnett returns as producer for a fifth consecutive year. Like last year, fans can vote on 15 potential new categories, with the winners added to the list for the ceremony.
EXCLUSIVE: The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco will return as host of People’s Choice Awards 2013, which will air on CBS live from the Nokia Theatre on January 9, 2013. This will mark Cuoco’s second stint emceeing the People’s Choice Awards after making her debut this year. CBS has a history of tapping some of its biggest primetime stars to host awards shows that air on the network, with Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) hosting the Tonys, LL Cool J (NCIS:LA) emceeing the Grammy nomination specials as well as this year’s Grammy Awards, and Cuoco doing the People’s Choice Awards. ”It’s an honor to return as host of the 2013 People’s Choice Awards and kick off awards season with one of the most fun events of the year,” said Cuoco. Also returning as executive producer is another familiar CBS face, Survivor‘s Mark Burnett.
CBS said today that it will air the fan-chosen People’s Choice Awards January 9. It will be telecast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live at 9 PM on the East Coast and be delayed until 9 PT out West. Starting today, 15 potential new categories can be voted on here, with the top vote-getters joining the telecast. Mark Burnett returns as executive producer.
