Entertainment lawyer Steve Warren, one of the most prominent reps of movie stars in Hollywood, the weekend received GLAAD‘s Stephen F. Kolzak Award, which is presented to an openly LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality in the community. After being introduced by Charlize Theron and Leonardo DiCaprio during the GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday in LA, Warren gave a speech that among other things called on the Supreme Court to shoot down DOMA and Prop 8:

Bill Clinton, Steve Warren Draw Glitzy Crowd For GLAAD Media Awards

The GLAAD Media Awards, which will honor former President Bill Clinton and top Hollywood attorney Steve Warren next Saturday in Los Angeles, are drawing quite a crowd. Stars coming out (no pun intended) to participate in the show include Leonardo Di Caprio, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, Drew Barrymore, Tobey McGuire, Elle Fanning, Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, Betty White, Johnny Galecki and Ellen Barkin. More names expected to be added.

GLAAD Media Awards To Honor Bill Clinton, Top Hollywood Attorney Steve Warren

Bill ClintonEXCLUSIVE: The 24th annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles has set its honorees: former President Bill Clinton will receive GLAAD’s first Advocate for Change Award; and Steve Warren, the top Hollywood attorney, will receive the Stephen F. Kolzak Award.

The event will be held at the JW Marriott on April 20 and there will be more excitement than usual in the air as this is right in the midst of Supreme Court deliberations regarding the constitutionality of Prop 8 and DOMA, which will have profound impact on gay marriage and whether equal protections extend to gays and lesbians. That landmark decision is expected to be delivered in June. Big star power is expected at the event.
