Teri Polo and Mather Zickel have landed co-starring roles on the ABC comedy pilot Man Up!. The project, from 100 Questions creator Chris Moynihan, ABC Studios and Tagline, is a look at what it takes to survive as a modern man, as told through the eyes of three best friends and the women in their lives. Moynihan and Zickel (I Love You, Man) will play two of the friends, while Polo will play the wife of the third friend, a playful super-mom who is addicted to Facebook. Additionally, Polo also booked the lead in the Hallmark comedic movie A Taste of Romance. The Little Fockers co-star recurs on Law & Order: Los Angeles, just wrapped the feature Beyond and is in pre-production on Material Lies.

Meanwhile, Seinfeld alum Wayne Knight is set as the last lead in the TV Land untitled Mark Reisman comedy pilot.

Former Heroes co-star Santiago Cabrera has landed the final regular role on Fox’s drama pilot Alcatraz. The project, executive produced by J.J. Abrams, chronicles the efforts of tenacious cop Rebecca (Sarah Jones) and team of FBI agents tracking down a group of missing Alcatraz prisoners and guards who reappear in the present day. Cabrera, repped by Gersh and Management 360, will play Jimmy, Rebecca’s sweet-natured fiance, an uniform cop. Cabrera is best known for his role on Heroes as comic book artist Isaac Mendez.

Melora Hardin, who has been playing Jan on a recurring basis, has been tapped for a lead role in the TBS pilot The Wedding Band. The hourlong comedy follows a group of guys performing in a wedding band, anchored by 2 lifelong best friends – perennial bachelor Tommy (Brian Austin Green) and Eddie (Peter Cambor), a married father of two. EXCLUSIVE: In his first TV gig since the end of ABC’s Ugly Betty, the series’ standout Michael Urie has joined another hourlong comedy, the TBS pilot Brain Trust. He is one of three actors who have landed lead roles opposite star D.B Sweeney, along with Jed Rees and Lindy Booth. Meanwhile, Wynn Everett, William Ragsdale and Suzy Nakamura have joined TNT’s drama pilot Bird Dog starring Eliza Dushku in supporting roles.
Brain Trust centers on disgraced police detective Billy Doyle (Sweeney) whose work is helped and hindered by a brilliant, strange and lovable trio of uber-geeks from a local think tank: Professor Nelson Kirby (Rees), Professor Franklin Gordon (Urie) and Professor Monica Ashton (Booth). Urie, who is set to star in Angels in America on Broadway for a five-week run early next year, is with Gersh and Seven Summits; Rees with Fortitude and Principal.
Bird Dog centers on Gail McGrath (Eliza Dushku), a police officer in a small town whose NYC cop father becomes her partner. Bird Dog is a mystery fashioned around an unlikely partnership of two cops who happen to be father and daughter. It centers on Gail McGrath (Dushku), who followed in her father’s footsteps in becoming a police officer but had little else in common with him. She left the big city she had grown up in to move to a small Pacific Northwestern town where she was patrolling the streets until her dad, a NYC cop, showed up on her front doorstep to join her as her new partner. Now this father-daughter team, call sign “Bird Dog,” is being put to the test — not only in solving crimes, but with each other. Robe wrote the script and is directing the pilot.
