Elena Satine To Star In NBC’s ‘The Sixth Gun’, Wynn Everett In ‘Influence’

Elena SatineAfter a long search, Elena Satine (Magic City) has landed the last key role in NBC‘s Carlton Cuse-produced pilot The Sixth Gun. Written by Ryan Condal based on the comic, directed by Jeffrey Reiner and produced by Universal TV, the supernatural Western follows the story of six mythical guns, each with its own other-worldly powers. When the Sixth Gun, the most powerful and dangerous of the group, resurfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, Becky Montcrief (Laura Ramsey), dark forces re-awaken. Satine will play the “widow” Missy Hume, a powerful Madame who runs the town of Brimstone kept unnaturally youthful by being in possession of the Fifth Gun. A cold stunningly beautiful woman of great cunning, she is unafraid to use whatever means to collect all Six Guns for her own dark purposes. Michiel Huisman To Star In NBC Pilot ‘The Sixth Gun’

After a lengthy search, Treme‘s Michiel Huisman has landed the male lead opposite Laura Ramsey in NBC‘s Carlton Cuse-produced pilot The Sixth Gun. Written by Ryan Condal based on the comic, directed by Jeffrey Reiner and produced by Universal TV, the supernatural Western follows the story of six mythical guns, each with its own other-worldly powers. When the Sixth Gun, the most powerful and dangerous of the group, resurfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, a farmer’s daughter named Becky Montcrief (Ramsey), dark forces reawaken. Huisman plays Drake Sinclair, a rogue gunslinger and handsome bastard. Coming from a shadowy past of mixed allegiances, the shrewd Drake is searching for the Sixth Gun because he believes it will lead to a great treasure. Huisman, repped by ICM Partners, Meg Mortimer and Frank Stewart, recently recurred on ABC’s Nashville.

Pedro Pascal, James LeGros & Chin Han Join NBC Pilot ‘The Sixth Gun’

Pedro PascalPedro Pascal (The Good Wife), Ally McBeal alum James LeGros and Chin Han (The Dark Knight) have been cast in NBC‘s Carlton Cuse-produced pilot The Sixth Gun. Written by Ryan Condal based on the comic, directed by Jeffrey Reiner and produced by Uni TV, the supernatural Western follows the story of six mythical guns, each with its own other-worldly powers. When the Sixth Gun, the most powerful and dangerous of the group, resurfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, a farmer’s daughter named Becky Montcrief (Laura Ramsey), dark forces reawaken. Pascal will play Special Agent Ortega, the younger of the two Pinkerton detectives who follows Mercer’s (Aldis Hodge) lead. LeGros will play Bill John O’Henry, a gunslinger who is a fervently loyal companion and sidekick to Drake Sinclair. Chin Han plays Chow, a brilliant Machiavellian schemer. Pascal, repped by Innovative and Authentic Management, is recurring on ABC’s Red Widow and USA’s Graceland. He previously worked with Reiner on the NBC Wonder Woman pilot. LeGros, repped by IFA, recently recurred on HBO’s Girls. Chin Han, repped by the Van Johnson Co., has been recurring on CW’s Arrow.

Laura Ramsey Lands The Lead In NBC Pilot ‘The Sixth Gun’

EXCLUSIVE: NBC’s adaptation of The Sixth Gun graphic novels has found its lead. Laura Ramsey (The Ruins) will star in the Carlton Cuse-produced pilot. Written by Ryan Condal, directed by Jeffrey Reiner and produced by Uni TV, The Sixth Gunis a supernatural Western which follows the story of six mythical guns, each with its own other-worldly powers. When the Sixth Gun, the most powerful and dangerous of the group, resurfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, a farmer’s daughter named Becky Montcrief (Ramsey), dark forces reawaken. Vile men, long thought dead, set their sights on retrieving the gun and killing Becky.

Ramsey, repped by CAA, CAA, KLWGN and Craig Emanuel, joins W. Earl Brown, Graham McTavish and Aldis Hodge who also were cast in the pilot today. She next plays the female lead in Matthew Weiner’s You Are Here and in Lionsgate’s The Mexican Singer.

The Secret Life Of The American Teenager‘s Daren Kagasoff has landed the male lead opposite Emma Roberts in Delirium, Fox‘s drama pilot from Karyn Usher, 20th TV and Chernin Entertainment. Based on Lauren Oliver’s bestselling book trilogy, it is set in a world where love is deemed illegal and can be eradicated with a special procedure. With 95 days to go until her scheduled treatment, Lena Holoway (Roberts) does the unthinkable: she falls in love. Kagasoff, repped by CAA and John Carrabino Management, plays Alex, a young, handsome police officer with a secret agenda, who finds himself intensely attracted to Lena.

Gary Fleder To Direct CW Pilot ‘Oxygen’, Jeffrey Reiner To Helm NBC’s ‘Sixth Gun’

Gary Fleder, who directed the pilot for the CW/CBS TV Studios freshman drama Beauty And The Beast, has been recruited by the CW and CBS Studios to helm another drama pilot this season, Oxygen. Like Beauty And The Beast, the project, written by Meredith Averill, chronicles the romance between a girl and a creature. In this case, it is an alien boy who, along with eight others, are integrated into a suburban high school. CBS TV Studios, Ole Prods, Isla de Babel and 360 Powwow produce. This marks WME-repped Fleder’s third pilot for the CW and CBS TV Studios. The previous two, Beauty And The Beast and Life Unexpected, both went to series.

Jeffrey Reiner (Awake) will direct NBC’s drama pilot The Sixth Gun, a Carlton Cuse-produced adaptation of the Oni Press graphic novel. Written by Ryan Condal, The Sixth Gun, produced by Uni TV, is a supernatural Western which follows the story of six mythical guns, each with its own other-worldly powers. 2ND UPDATE: NBC Orders Four Drama & Three Comedy Pilots

2ND UPDATE 5:30 PM: NBC has added another drama pilot to its roster, from Life creator/executive producer Rand Ravich. The untitled drama project, produced by 20th Century Fox TV, is described as an emotionally charged action thriller set in and around the world of Washington DC. It follows an idealistic Secret Service agent who finds himself at the epicenter of an international crisis on his first day on the job. He will need to cross moral and legal lines as he navigates the highest levels of power and corruption on his search for the truth. Ravich is executive producing with his producing partner Far Shariat, making a return to NBC where he landed his first series, the 2007 drama Life.

UPDATE 4:30 PM: It has been a busy pickup day at NBC. The network just ordered four more pilots: the Carlton Cuse-produced drama The Sixth Gun and comedies from Nurse Jackie co-creator Liz Brixius, Up All Night executive producer DJ Nash and The Office‘s Justin Spitzer. All four hail from Universal TV.
