Bresha Webb To Star In ABC Pilot ‘Keep It Together’; Brianna Brown Joins ‘Visitors’

webbBresha Webb, who was among the finalists for the new cast member spot on SNL, has landed the female lead opposite Romany Malco in ABC‘s multi-camera comedy pilot Keep It Together, from actor-comedian Kevin Hart. Written by Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan based on Hart’s life and stand-up, the project takes a candid look at the post-divorce life of a couple, Derek (Malco) and Lorraine (Webb), who are trying to forge a friendship for the sake of their kids, despite their differences. Webb, repped by Greene & Assoc., Mosaic and Karl Austen, is recurring on Grey’s Anatomy and next will be seen in the feature Home.

brownBrianna Brown (Devious Maids, Homeland) has been added to in ABC drama pilot The Visitors, from Amblin TV. Penned by Soo Hugh, it chronicles the race against the clock to defeat an unseen alien enemy out to destroy the world. Brown will play Lena, who discovers that her daughter is being turned against her by a covert alien operation. She refuses to play victim and joins forces with her husband Wes (Barry Sloane) and Claire (Lily Rabe), revealing herself as the most ruthless fighter of all in order to get her daughter back. Brown, repped by Pakula/King & Assoc., manager Gladys Gonzalez and attorney Marcy Morris, recurs on USA’s Graceland.

rabeAmerican Horror Story‘s Lily Rabe has been tapped as the lead in ABC drama pilot The Visitors, from Amblin TV. Penned by Soo Hugh, The Visitors chronicles the race against the clock to defeat an unseen alien enemy out to destroy the world. Rabe will play Claire Bennigan, an FBI agent and single mother who is torn between work and home life. Rabe, repped by ICM Partners, Framework Entertainment and Schreck Rose, will next be seen in Edward Zwick’s Pawn Sacrifice.

Milo Ventimiglia & Barry Sloane To Star In ABC Drama Pilot ‘The Visitors’

sloanemiloUPDATED: Heroes and Mob City alum Milo Ventimiglia and Revenge‘s Barry Sloane have been cast as leads in ABC alien drama pilot The Visitors, from Amblin TV, after fielding interest from multiple pilots. The project chronicles the race against the clock to defeat an unseen alien enemy out to destroy the world. Ventimiglia, repped by CAA, Management 360 and attorney Jeff Frankel, will play John Doe/Drew, who is covered in strange tattoos and diagrams and speaks in a strange language. He will next be seen in Grace of Monaco and the remake of Heat and also stars and executive produces the Crackle series Chosen. Sloane will play Wes, a former FBI agent now with the Special Projects Division of the Defense department who investigates military threats that are better off solved outside the public’s knowledge. The Visitors is for the same network and hails from the same studio, ABC Studios, as Revenge, where Sloane has been a regular since midway through the second season after starting the season as a recurring. Sloane, repped by Innovative, Silver Lining and UK’s BWH, received the blessing of Revenge‘s producers to do a pilot this season. The fate of his character, Aiden, is being kept under wraps.

Greta Lee Boards NBC Comedy Pilot ‘Old Soul’; Derek Webster In ABC’s ‘The Visitors’

Greta Lee (Girls) is set to co-star opposite Natasha Lyonne  gretalee3 in NBC‘s single-camera comedy pilot Old Soul. Co-created by Amy Poehler, Josh Bycel and Jonathan Fener and directed by David Wain, Old Soul centers on a reformed wild child Nadia (Lyonne) who has a business caring for the elderly and feels she has more in common with her colorful old clients than she does with people her age. Lee, repped by CAA, Regarding Entertainment and Kimberly Jaime, plays Alix, Nadia’s loyal friend with a type A personality and “will not fail” attitude. She will be seen in Fox’s M. Night Shyamalan’s event series Wayward Pines and features  St. Vincent de Van Nuys and While We’re Young.

Derek Webster (Revolution) has booked aderek2 role on ABC alien drama pilot The Visitors from Amblin TV. It chronicles the race against the clock to defeat an unseen alien enemy out to destroy the world. Webster, repped by Main Title and AKA, plays Jessup Rollins, an FBI agent with two disciplinary reprimands on his record and a past of difficult behavior. He recurs on NBC’s midseason The Night Shift.

Penned by William Blake Herron, it centers on America’s first female Vice President, Natalie Maccabee (Stone), and her secret weapon, Agent X (Jeff Hephner). This marks the 14th pilot O’Fallon has directed, with 11 of the previous 13 ordered to series, including A&E’s The Glades and FX’s The Riches. ABC Picks Up Alien Drama Pilot ‘The Visitors’ From Amblin TV

AmblinTVLooking to build on the success of its TNT drama Falling Skies, Amblin TV is teeing off another alien drama, which just received a pilot order at ABC. Titled The Visitors, the project is based on a Ray Bradbury short story called Zero Hour. Amblin TV is co-producing with Dawn Olmstead’s Grady Girl. Olmstead found the short story and brought it to Amblin TV, which Dawn Parouse Olmsteaddeveloped it with writer Soo Hugh, who has worked on Amblin’s The River and Under The Dome. The Visitors chronicles the race against the clock to defeat an unseen alien enemy out to destroy the world using our most precious resource against us. ABC Studios is producing.  Olmstead and Hugh are exec producing along with Amblin’s Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey and Steven Spielberg. Olmstead, who was just named head of development for Universal Cable Productions, has two other pilots: Bravo’s Girlfriend’s Guide To Divorce and Lifetime’s The Lottery. Amblin TV recently received a series order at Fox for Red Band Society and has Ed Burns’ TNT pilot Public Morals.
