Deadline Visual Effects Awards

Inception garnered four nominations and HBO’s Boardwalk Empire received five as the Visual Effects Society set the finalists for awards that will be announced at a Beverly Hilton Hotel ceremony on February 1. Aside from the awards, VFX pioneer Ray Harryhausen will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Inception director Chris Nolan will be given the Visionary Award.
