Actor-comedian Ron Funches (Disney XD’s Crash & Bernstein) has been added to the NBC/WBTV comedy pilot Undateable, about a group of date-challenged friends whose lives are forever altered when a more confident character (Chris D’Elia) enters their world. Funches, repped by APA, Truhett Garcia Management and attorney Lev Ginsburg, plays Shelly, an odd, shy musician member of the group whose appeal to women comes to life when he’s performing. He also is a writer for The Kroll Show.
Gregory Harrison has been cast in CBS‘ Charleston, SC-set drama pilot Reckless, which centers on Jamie (Anna Wood), a gorgeous Yankee litigator, and Roy (Cam Gigandet), a Southern City Attorney, who struggle to hide their intense attraction while clashing over a police sex scandal. Harrison, repped by Stone Manners Salners and Himber Entertainment, plays Dec, a polished, well-connected Charleston attorney who is Roy’s ex-father-in-law and mentor.
Luke Bracey is the latest Australian newcomer to score a major role this pilot season. In his first U.S. gig, Bracey (Home And Away), who was pursued by multiple pilots, is set for the young male lead opposite Odette Annable in ABC‘s Romeo & Juliet-esque pilot Westside (formerly Venice), about the haves and the have-nots of California’s most seductive city, Venice. It focuses on two rival families, the Nances and the Carvers, and a forbidden and dangerous romance emerging between them as the families battle for control of Venice. Bracey will play the handsome and sexy Chris Carver. Recently released from a six-year prison term for dealing marijuana, Chris hopes to move to Costa Rica and start his life over — but he finds himself quickly sucked back into the drama of the Carver family… and a romance with the daughter of his family’s chief rival, Sophie Nance (Annable).
